Insects Nervous System

Help us settle an argument please! = D?
My husband and I are in a dispute about it. Do insects feel pain when getting hurt? He says he thinks a lot of them dont have a nervous system so that they cannot feel pain. I thought, what they do. Who knows? Thank you!
An insect the nervous system is connected directly to the muscle system and not on the brain. Although they feel heat and cold and also some pain by heat or very cold temperatures, they usually do not in pain like humans. When an insect is crushed, then there would be no thinking involved, and would feel no pain, that in a very fast Way is used. More research is being done on this, but in plants, the answer is really no, not like us.

Central Nervous System $81.25 The central nervous system is the part of the nervous system that functions to coordinate the activity of all parts of the bodies of bilaterian animals that is, all animals more advanced than sponges or jellyfish. In vertebrates, the central nervous system is enclosed in the meninges. It contains the majority of the nervous system and consists of the brain and the spinal cord. Together with the peripheral nervous system it has a fundamental role in the control of behavior. The CNS is contained within the dorsal cavity, with the brain in the cranial cavity and the spinal cord in the spinal cavity. The brain is protected by the skull, while the spinal cord is protected by the vertebrae. Central Nervous System Disease $109.93 High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles A central nervous system disease can affect either the spinal cord or brain of the central nervous system. The central nervous system controls behaviors in the human body, so this can be a fatal illness. The spinal cord includes sensory reception from the peripheral nervous system. It also conducts motor information which consist of the bodys skeletal muscles, cardiac muscles, smooth muscles, and glands. There are 31 pairs of spinal nerves along the spinal cord. These nerves each contain both sensory and motor axons. The spinal cord is protected by vertebrae, and connects the peripheral nervous system to the brain, and it acts as a minor coordinating center Author: Miller, Frederic P./ Vandome, Agnes F./ McBrewster, John Binding Type: Paperback Number of Pages: 200 Publication Date: 2010/08/22 Language: English Dimensions: 6.00 x 9.02 x 0.46 inches |

Enteric Nervous System $70.1 High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles The enteric nervous system is a subdivision of the peripheral nervous system, that directly controls the gastrointestinal system. It is derived from neural crest. The ENS is capable of autonomous functions such as the coordination of reflexes, although it receives considerable innervation from the autonomic nervous system and thus is often considered a part of the ANS. Its study is the focus of neurogastroenterology. The ENS can be damaged by ischemia. Transplantation has been described as a theoretical possibility.
