Wood Bird Foot
Can someone help me identify a type of large bird sitting in a tree in my garden.?
I spotted a large bird about the size a duck with claw feet, a white face with a black stripe on the side of her face and several red feathers on the top of the head. Your body was black and she was white under their wings. She was in our tree climbing during the morning. We live in CT in a wooded area, and we have never seen this bird. Can someone please idenify to this bird. We also have pictures. Thank you.
